Sam BottumPhotonics/Multijunction Nanowires Caudill 008 (919) 843-6852 B.S. in Chemistry The University of Richmond, 2020 Research Summary: Sam works on understanding the connection between the nanophotonic properties of multijunction silicon nanowires with bulk optical effects when nanowires are in suspension. This has applications in improving particle-based solar fuels systems as we've previously demonstrated. He is adept at working in the middle of the night. Personal Summary: Outside of lab, Sam enjoys the pain and frustration of fly fishing, as well as video games and music of metal legends Ghost. He is from Chicago and is thus dissapointed with the result of most sports games. He is an avid Tarheel and Purdue fan. |
