Anthony CuccurulloATR Spectroelectrochemistry Caudill 008 (919) 843-6852 B.S. in Chemistry MPH with a concentration in Epidemiology The College of New Jersey Research Summary: Anthony uses Attenuated Total Reflectance- Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroelectrochemistry (ATR-FTIR-SEC) to characterize surface-bound carbon reducing catalysts and to probe their mechanisms. The coupling of spectroscopy with electrochemistry allows for stronger observation of structural changes of an electroactive catalyst as voltage changes. The aim of better understanding catalytic mechanisms is to inform development of carbon reduction solar fuel cells. Personal Summary: Outside of the lab, Anthony enjoys baking bread, playing roleplaying video games, and reading fiction. He stays active through rucking, unwinds with episodes of Kitchen Nightmares, and considers himself something of a Crocs connoisseur. |
